The global pandemic caused by Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) reaches its case number 400,000 as on 24 March 2020, 4 PM GMT according to worldometers. The new cases are being reported from all across the globe and the tally is staggering!
The first COVID-19 case was recorded on 31 December 2019 when some patients were hospitalized who showed pneumonia like symptoms in Wuhan, China. The highly contagious COVID-19 began spreading like anything and reached a staggering number of 100,000 cases on March 6. The tally reached 200,000 just after 11 days, on 18 March. It took just 4 days to reach the next hundred thousand – 300,000 on 21 March. And, the numbers never stopped. As of today, 3 days after COVID-19 cases reached its 300,000 mark, the tally reaches 400,000 mark.
With more than 81 thousand confirm cases, China leads the tally. Italy follows with about 64 thousand cases. The USA follows Italy with about 46 thousand cases and Spain by about 40,000 cases.
